Sonic: Too Fast? Sonic: Too Fast?

Rated 4.5 / 5 stars 8 days ago

I'm reminded of the overly enthusiastic soldier played by Orlando Bloom in "Black Hawk Down", who was so ready and rearing to fight, then *spoiler*.

Good clean animation, decent voice acting, and the plotline had a nice intense scathing climax, which really pushes the point of it being a parody home.

Godspeed Sonic. See you next parody.

Madness Tribute-ification Madness Tribute-ification

The most ironic part of my even watching this animation, was that I expected it to be just another crappy madness tribute. By golly, you have completely exceeded my expectations.

This animation was so bad that it was good. I enjoyed the hell out of this, and I cannot remember the last time I laughed this hard at a Madness-themed animation. It teetered in between, "this is garbage pure and simple" and "this is incredibly well thought out and humorous garbage". And then it literally broke through that paradigm wall (in a poorly animated crash-noise-hole-appears type fashion).

I demand a sequel! But ONLY if it's just as bad as this one. Improving this would only make it... another crappy unoriginal madness tribute.

Thanks a lot for your support! Also: I'll make another one when I get more ideas.

If you like this kind of parody, though, I strongly recommend watching the MZM 69 movies by a good friend of mine, Kanamomashouse. (which was actually a huge inspiration to make this) You can watch it by clicking on the poster in the second to last room.

This is oozing with talent and comedic timing

I thought pokemon jokes and parodies and such were old hat.

BUT YOU have really done an amazing thing here. It still has all of the humor of your older stuff, with the improved animation and drawing of the you that is NOW.

The only thing that could have made this even better, in my humble opinion, is if it were longer. But I won't argue with where you ended it. I was just really enjoying this whole exchange and would love to see more.

One Step Back One Step Back

Great job on this

For such a simple game it really was highly entertaining. From the beginning you realize just what you're up against, and then once you think you figured it all out, out comes a new figure once again. Upon just realizing, you begin. Entertaining highly, this game, and really so simple.

This game is exceedingly challenging

I played it once a little bit yesterday and couldn't handle the difficulty. But today I stuck with it. Right now I have the game open in another window. I'm at the final checkpoint of World 1-4, I've gotten to the point of seeing the exit doorway, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to beat the stage!

I don't know how long you've made this game, but I doubt too many people on newgrounds will ever make it as far as I have. It's a shame really, because unless someone gets to the point I'm at right now and figures out how to get past the boss, I'm gonna lose the rest of my 442 lives, and not see the rest of what you've done here.

I guess for someone like me who had a few hours to kill, this was a great challenging carpal-tunnel inducing game. I don't want to give up yet. How do you finish the stage?

Am I gonna be the one who creates a walk-through just so someone else can figure out what I can't?

A success in frustration

You've done very well in creating a game that is both incredibly difficult, and very addicting. While I agree with rocer4ya's review below in that you created a game that is not fun to play, I must add that I was entertained regardless.

The hope this game instills in the player is epic in scale. I keep telling myself, "I can do this. This is a simple game. Run and jump. That's it." but failure after failure frustrates me to no end. I want to blame the game. I want to blame you for making this game impossible to win.

But It dawns on me that this game does not suck. It is I that sucks at the game, and I loved every bit of the torture in learning this lesson. I'm looking forward to stage 2.

Builds into something out of the box

Usually the dubstep I'm used to hearing is predictable to a point. I can adlib WUBWUB WAA noises to it with my mouth, and even though it doesn't match, it fits because dubstep is random within a framset of sorts. This song however, is without a frameset so to speak. Every time one expects the bass to come in hard, it comes in soft and vice versa. It breaks rhythm every now and then, and then jumps right back in. I find this all rather refreshing and consistently satisfying. You've done well!

My favorite of your songs

All of your songs are quite good, but this one stands out in my view. The emotion this song brings with it is very much so a feeling of "things are getting seriously messed up." Hence it's perfect for a Madness animation. I fully expect things to go from the realm of "expected" to "absolute madness", and this song fits the bill.

It's a lot like your other song Calliope in that regard. Except Calliope brings us down the path in a more twilight zone manner. That song was used at the first appearance of the improbability device, so it makes sense.

Keep up the great work man.

Im a new fan

This sounds incredible. And I'll tell you I'm not usually fond of a song that switches the way it sounds as often as this one does, but this really had a nice way of building upon itself. The more I listened to it the more it grew on me. Really high quality work here.

Nice job man

It's amazing how the addition of eyes brings a madness character to "life". Not to mention the entire rest of the package you put together here.

This is a truly inspired rendition, and if artwork like this were to spawn an animated series via a traditionally animated cartoon, I'm telling you right now it would be one hell of a hit.

I'm highly excited for the comic book series. Keep it up!
